Wildlife-Tour around Gamboa. We booked a Tour with Juan, which was absolutely perfect. Well organized and informative. We got to see alot of Wildlife, including different type of Monkeys ans sloths. Juan was cool tourguide, who explained alot. I would highly recommend booking a Tour with him.

Great day tour with Juan and Manakin Adventures Had an awesome tour with Juan snorkeling on the the Caribbean side of Panama. Juan was knowledgeable and friendly. He had a great background in the history of the area. Transportation was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the day so much that we also booked the Monkey tour with him later in the week. Amazing Family experience in Panama Canal, Lake Gatun and Gamboa Manakin is back! We had an incredible day with Juan checking out the Panama Canal, wildlife, and beautiful ecosystem of Lake Gatun. Juan is extremely knowledgeable of ecology and Panama history (he’s both an ecologist and lawyer). The mix experience of both the canal and nature was amazing to take in. The wildlife was up close and everywhere. I highly recommend and also want travelers to know that this experience is unfazed by Covid. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and wouldn’t change a thing.

Wildlife Tour by Boat, Love those Monkeys On this full day tour our guide, a naturalists named Nick, kept us entertained with his knowledge of both plants and wildlife. Taking the small boat out on the canal with the large ships on the way to Monkey Island was really cool. Upon reaching the island, to have the monkeys come and eat out of your hand while receiving explanations of their behavior and life style was a one of a kind experience. After the boat ride our hike on pipeline road provided us the opportunity to see a sloth and an agouti, with accompanying stories. Our tour ended with a wonderful restaurant suggestion for a late lunch.

Learning the story of Panama Our guide Shawn provided a comprehensive tour of Panama City and the Miraflores locks. As the grandson of someone who came to Panama to help build the canal, he provided a comprehensive history of the culture, the buildings and the canal that gave us the context to understand present day Panama. His knowledge, and patience with all of our questions provided a great start to our week in Panama City. We throughly enjoyed our time with Shawn and highly recommend this tour as a way to start your time in Panama.

Superb Wildlife Tour with Manakin Adventures We took the group wildlife tour by boat which included a walk along the pipeline road in Soberania National Park. As it was midweek, we ended up being the only two people on the tour which made it very personalised, we were able to ask our fabulous guide José lots of questions about the ecological views and efforts of the country. He seemed extremely passionate about trying to educate people to better care for the incredible forest and animals that the country has...it gave us hope for Panama! The tour started on a high as our guide pulled over in the car, he'd spotted two beautiful toucans in the tree, what a spot!!!!! We then had a lovely morning tour on Gatun Lake. There were a few boats out on the water but it was easy to find our own space and enjoy the animals uninterrupted. Even though there are huge container ships making their way across the lake, this place is unbelievably tranquil, it's quite breathtaking really! We saw three different types on monkey as well as iguanas and an osprey. After a toilet break we then took a leisurely stroll along the pipeline road to spot birds. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we headed back just as the heat really started to soar - it's well worth the early start for this tour. Overall we would not hesitate to recommend this tour, and we'd certainly do more tours with Manakin Adventures. The tour is quite expensive, but knowing that the tour goes even with just two people is really superb, particularly if you have limited time in Panama and don't want tours to be cancelled because of insufficient numbers.

Monkey Island Jaun is the BEST! He is very knowledgeable about EVERYTHING! He told us so much about the city and the canal on our way to the boat to go to Monkey Island! He knows the Monkeys names and they come to him when he calls them! He showed us so much wildlife, crocodiles, different birds We also got to watch him help a sloth. We got GREAT pictures and AWESOME memories! I would suggest contacting him for any tour or needs including transportation to/from the airport! Couldn't have had a better time!

THE BEST TRAVEL AGENCY IN PANAMA Me and my wife have just returned from a 20 day trip to Panama where we visited the places of greatest interest ( Panama city, San Blas, El Valle de Antoin, S. Catalina, Boquete, Volcan Baru and Bocas del toro) relying exclusively to Manakin Adventure. Thanks to perfect knowledge of the history and nature of this country, to the courtesy, education and punctuality of the leader ( Juan Jose') and all his staff, my trip was fantastic. Great company to work with I can't say enough about working with Juan and his company. From my first contact with them until we said goodbye at the end of our trip, it was exceptional. Responses to emails were prompt. He willingly accepted payment by Western Union since my bank would not do bank transfers. Even the change in the location where our ship docked was met with 'no problem'. The city tour on our first day was very interesting - especially the Imax film at Miraflores Lock Visitor Center. They dropped us off at our hotel in the financial district and Shaun picked us up the next morning for the Embera Tour. That tour was quite informative and our time with Shaun was very memorable. Our day came to an end when he dropped us off at a hotel near the airport. Having these private tours meant the timing was somewhat up to us. We totally recommend this company.
